My 1H Wattbike PB

Yesterday I got up with a massive sore-throat. In the past this would be an indication that a bad cold would follow.

Due to work commitments yesterday I wasn’t able to do my treatment for the cold but fortunately the sore-throat subsided. This morning I hardly had a sore-throat. Nonetheless I wan’t feeling strong enough to hike in the sun for 3 – 4 hours.

So I skipped the monthly hike that I enjoy doing in the company of friends and opted for a light session at the gym instead.

I did a warm-up (2x1K) on the Concept 2 indoor rower. I felt good and decided to then do an hour in the Wattbike. I headed for the Wattbike with some trepidation wondering whether I would do a full hour…

Interestingly enough my cadence increased (87 rpm was the average) and I felt stronger as the minutes flew by. I ended doing a 27Km in an hour – my PB ever! Go figure…

You will notice that there is a slight positive gradient for Km/h, W and rpm throughout the 60 minutes.
