It was a glorious Autumn morning in Johannesburg: blue skies and a pleasant 19C (66F). The morning quickly warmed up and it was HOT by the time we completed the hike (30C – 86F).
The people in our group were friendly, we had a good work-out (including the 2 steep koppies) and we saw some game including springbok, blesbok and wildebeest.
As always it was great meeting friends and making new friends: thanks to everyone who attended, thanks to Ilona and Niren for co-hosting.

Welcome to Anna from Ireland and Coriette from the Netherlands – they are both enjoying a brief visit to South Africa.
On a sad note: Britta is leaving us. Britta (originally from Germany) spent approx. 2 years in Johannesburg. She is intelligent and fun to be with. Britta has represented her company in various parts of the world including Australia, Europe, New Zealand, South Africa and the United States. She attended most of our hikes at Klipriviersberg during the past 2 years.
Thanks Britta for your great company, we will certainly be missing you. Best wishes to you Brita.
Teresa you are a Star – thanks for the photos.
Thanks to all who joined us at Thaba Eco Hotel for lunch after the hike. We had a tasty meal and enjoyable conversation. Welcome also to Jim and Julia Chamberz from the United Kingdom who attended lunch with us.
Please join us at Klipriviersberg on Sunday, 7th May should you be in town that day.
Have a great week.
