Dr Anton and the Mild Omicron Variant of Covid-19

COVID Vaccines – Yay or Nay

I have had the 2 Pfizer jabs and I will get the booster as soon as it is available to the general public in South Africa. Three members of my family are against COVID vaccinations. They got infected with Omicron about 10 days ago and the good news is that the 3 of them have since recovered.

Dr Anton Discusses the Mild Omicron Variant of Covid-19

Interesting what Dr. Anton van Rensburg MBChB (UP), MSc Nutrition (UP), AMP (MBs) has to say:

Dr Anton discusses the mild Omicron variant of Covid-19. from Dr Anton on Vimeo.

Dr. Anton states:

  • We are seeing vaccinated people as well as unvaccinated people getting infected all of them with mild disease
  • The typical duration is between 2 and 7 days
  • There is coughing, there is fever, sore bodies, severe sore-throat in some people and ear ache in some other patients
  • This is a fully treatable illness
  • One thing is not a silver bullet – Ivermectin forms part of a bigger protocol and I am still using it in my patients
  • In treating viral illness besides Ivermectin I include aspirin, zinc, vitamin D3, vitamin C, probiotic, NAC
  • One of the really positive things that came out of this pandemic is that we realise the importance of having a healthy lifestyle, of exercising, of sleeping enough, of eating a clean diet and the fact that nutrients can reduce the probability of disease such as cancer, heart disease and stroke
  • It is important that you visit your doctor early. Don’t wait until it is too late
  • Early cortisone is problematic. When the viral load is high in the early days of the illness you don’t want to suppress the immune system, therefore cortisone has to be timed correctly when dealing with the Corona virus.

One of the really positive things that came out of this pandemic is that we realise the importance of having a healthy lifestyle, of exercising, of sleeping enough, of eating a clean diet and the fact that nutrients can reduce the probability of disease such as cancer, heart disease and stroke.
