- It is important to get out of the starting block quickly and then get into a good rhythm in the middle of the race
- once you do 50 or 60 strokes the pain starts
- you know that the pain is going to come so how are you can to handle it? The pain will hit you at 400 or 500 meters – try and control the pain… from around 1000 meters the pain just keeps increasing.
