Sunday Hiking and Walk-Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve (5K Walk; 11K and 13K Hikes) – 4 June 2017
It was a fantastic winter day in Johannesburg. Cold in the early morning 4C (39F) and it gradually warmed up to 22C (71.6F). Blue skies throughout – needless to state we all enjoyed the cool, pleasant weather.
We separated into 3 groups (5km that Jan extended to a 8K walk); Niren’s 11K hike and Lynn’s and Tony’s 13K hike. Lynn, you set a good pace (neither too fast nor too slow) and everyone in our group enjoyed it. Well done!
We were fortunate to see Blesbok, Springbok, Wildebeest and Zebra.
Beautiful scenery, a good workout and a very nice social – I met friends and made new friends. Thanks to all who participated. Thanks to the Hosts Jan, Lynn and Niren. Thanks to Sylvia and Teresa for all the photos – really appreciated.
Following the hike we had an enjoyable lunch at Thaba Ya.
